Indian 2 Box Office Collection Shows Dip In The Second Day, Earns Over Rs 42 Crore
Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 hit the big screens on Friday. The sequel to the 1996 cult film Indian, has seen a dip in its earnings on the second day of its release. The movie has earned over Rs 42 crore so far.
The movie has garnered Rs 18.2 crore on its second day, as per Sacnilk. In Indian 2, Kamal Hassan revives the role of Senapathy fighting new enemies of the society. It has clashed with Sudha Kongara’s Sarfira at the box office. Sarfira is the remake of Sudha Kongara’s National Award-winning Tamil film Sooratrai Pottru.

According to the report, Indian 2 earned ₹25.6 crore [Tamil: ₹16.5 crore; Hindi: ₹1.2 crore; Telugu: ₹7.9 crore] on day one. From the box office numbers, it could be said that currently, Kamal Haasan’s star power is making Indian 2 thrive.
Indian 2 features Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
The first poster of Indian 2 was unveiled on the occasion of the Pongal festival in 2020. Indian 2 has music by Anirudh Ravichander and has writers Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar on board. Produced by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 hit the theatres on July 12. The movie was released in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

The lavish film was released in multiple formats including 2D, IMAX, EPIQ, 4DX and ICE, making it the first Indian movie to be released in all formats.
