On November 1, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will make the declaration of Kerala as an ‘extreme poverty-free’ state from the Central Stadium, behind the Secretariat. The event will reportedly be a starry fanfare as the three South Indian biggest stars – Kamal Haasan, Mammotty, and Mohanlal are to join.

The government has decided to mark this historical feat in a befitting fashion, LSG minister MB Rajesh reportedly said. He informed that CM will make the declaration on November 1, in the presence of the entire Cabinet. Also, Mammotty, Mohanlal, and Kamal Haasan will be there as special guests. The event will be accompanied by the cultural events before and after the declaration. “We want to turn this achievement into a mass celebration”, the minister said.

Kerala was only the second in the world, after China, to get rid of extreme poverty, systematically and scientifically, he said.
