Is Aamir Khan A Part Of Rajinikanth’s Coolie?
The buzz around Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action thriller Coolie just got even bigger. While fans were already set to see Tollywood’s Nagarjuna Akkineni and Sandalwood star Upendra Rao joining forces with Thalaivar, Rajnikanth, a new name has quietly entered the spotlight—Bollywood’s very own Aamir Khan.
Though the makers had previously confirmed Nagarjuna and Upendra’s involvement, Aamir Khan’s participation was kept tightly under wraps.

That changed recently when Upendra, while promoting his own film 45, let slip a major update. He revealed that he would be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, and Aamir Khan in Coolie.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie brings together some of the biggest names from across Indian cinema which is slated to release on August 14, 2025.

Apart from Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Aamir Khan, the film also stars Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir in important roles. Pooja Hegde is confirmed to feature in a high-energy special dance number.

Rajinikanth is said to be playing a character with negative shades, a departure from his usual heroic roles, making this film even more intriguing for fans.
Though Coolie is shaping up to be a multi-starrer, Aamir Khan’s role remains the biggest mystery. Industry insiders suggest it might be an extended cameo, but given Aamir’s track record of choosing meaningful roles.
The actor has recently returned to the spotlight after a brief hiatus. He is also set to star in Sitaare Zameen Par, a thematic follow-up to his beloved 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, alongside Genelia D’Souza. That film is expected to hit theatres by mid-2025.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also working on Jailer 2, the sequel to his blockbuster Jailer, keeping him firmly in the limelight.
