The name Samantha is familiar to any film industry. After setting successful career in Tamil and Telugu film industry, she is finding her position in Bollywood. She made her debut in Hindi OTT shows in 2021 with Raj & DK”s Family Man (Season 2), and her performance received well with popular audience and garnered critical appreciation as well.
This year, she had two Telugu movie releases: Gunasekhar”s Shaakuntalam with Dev Mohan and Shiva Nirvana”s Kushi alongside Vijay Devarakonda. She is currently gearing up for next OTT release with Citadel, a Hindi spin-off to American show of the same name, besides, actor has other exciting projects coming up as well.
The actress is quite active on Instagram and shares all news to her through the medium. Besides her upcoming projects, she posts her travel diaries, workout videos, and her spiritual side of life on social media. When actor has diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune condition, last year she openly communicated about it on Instagram.
During her recent interview with Harper”s Bazaar India magazine, Samantha was asked how she manages to push herself and able to stay consistent on days when she feels demotivated. She answers that she have the best trainer, Junaid (Junaid Shaikh) and he has been “an enormous source of strength” for the last one and half years.
“During this whole process there was a lot of fatigue and I was lifting and moving 30-40 per cent less than what I was doing when I was healthy. I remember there were many days when I wouldn”t be able to push in the gym, and I would cry in front of him. He would pretend that he couldn”t see me crying. Then he would be like, “okay, next set, let”s go”. He doesn”t know how much that helped me,” Harper”s Bazaar quotes as she is saying.
Samantha adds that his trainer has been an “incredible motivator” through the process, and adding further, she said: “It”s not just about looking good. It”s about enormous willpower, mental strength, focus, and this incredible belief in yourself.”
She shared snippets of this conversation on Instagram, and his trainer reshared the post as well. The post has received over 86, 781 likes till now.
