As box office collection records and rave reviews are still pouring every day, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has already turned into one-of-a-kind entertainment event in history. While talking the movie in a success meet in Mumbai, Mr. Khan, in his heartfelt speech, extended appreciation towards all actors and technicians who worked in the film, expressed his love for South cinema, and talked about the satisfaction the movie and its success gave him.
Mr. Khan said: “I have always been a fan of cinema from the South. . . . And for me to come here and create this cinema for the whole of the country, is more than happiness… it is the greatest satisfaction for me to work for 32 years in the Indian Film industry…”
Director Atlee, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, and actors Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover attended the success meet. Mr. Khan and Ms. Padukone danced to the song “Chaleya” from the movie with Mr. Ravichander. SRK looked dapper in a black three-piece suit with a white shirt, and Deepika appeared stunning in a gorgeous white saree with a black border.
Globally, the Atlee directorial crossed over Rs. 650 crores, and in India, the total collection inches closer to Rs. 400 crores.
Jawan’s stellar cast includes Nayanthara, Sunil Grover and Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone also in a special appearance. The movie also features Priya Mani Raj, Aaliyah Qureishi, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girja Oak, and Lehar Khan, forming the SRK’s six-girl gang. The movie was produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film was released worldwide on September 7th, and besides Hindi, Jawan is available in Tamil and Telugu as well.
Mr. Khan’s upcoming release is Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, where he pairs with Taapsee Pannu.
