Jayaram And Kalidas Jayaram Reunite Onscreen After 22 Years In “Aashakal Aayiram”
The much-loved father-son duo of Malayalam cinema, Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram, are reuniting onscreen after a gap of 22 years in the upcoming film “Aashakal Aayiram.” The title poster of the film was officially released earlier this week.
The film is directed by G. Prajith, who is well known for his earlier work Oru Vadakkan Selfie. The screenplay is co-written by Aravind Rajendran and Jude Anthany Joseph, with Jude also serving as the Creative Director of the project.

Gokulam Gopalan is producing the film under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, a production house known for delivering quality content in Malayalam and Tamil cinema.
Kalidas Jayaram, who had previously appeared as a child artist alongside his father in films like Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal and Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum, makes a much-anticipated return with Jayaram in Aashakal Aayiram. This collaboration marks a significant and emotional moment for Malayalam audiences who have long awaited their reunion in lead roles.

The film brings together a strong technical and creative team. The co-producers are Baiju Gopalan and V.C. Praveen, with Krishnamoorthy as the Executive Producer. Shaji Kumar handles the cinematography, and Shafique P.V. is the editor.
Music is composed by Sanal Dev, while Nimesh Thanur leads the art direction. The costume designer is Arun Manohar, and the makeup is by Hassan Vandur. Baby Panicker serves as the Chief Associate Director. The publicity design is managed by Ten Point, and Pratheesh Shekhar is the film’s PRO. Badusha N.M. is onboard as the Project Designer.
