While the film has been winning over audiences with its visual spectacle and storytelling, it has also found itself in the middle of controversy recently. A dialogue in the film was criticised for demeaning women in Bengaluru, sparking backlash from Karnataka audiences.

Responding swiftly, the makers issued a public apology through Wayfarer Films, the production banner behind Lokah. In their statement, they clarified:

“It has come to our attention that a dialogue delivered by one of the characters in our film Lokah: Chapter One has unintentionally hurt the sentiments of people from Karnataka. We deeply regret this oversight and assure you that no offence was intended. The dialogue in question will be removed/edited at the earliest. We sincerely apologise for the hurt caused and humbly request you to accept our apology.”
