Kamal Haasan–Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life Trailer Out: Action-Thriller Set For Worldwide Release On June 5

The much-anticipated trailer of Thug Life, the action spectacle starring Kamal Haasan and directed by the legendary Mani Ratnam, has officially been released, setting the stage for a grand theatrical release on June 5.

Marking a cinematic reunion after 37 years, this film brings together two of Indian cinema’s most iconic visionaries, creating waves of excitement among fans and film lovers alike.

The trailer teases an action drama rich in visual spectacle, layered storytelling, and an ensemble cast that includes Silambarasan, Joju George, Trisha, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nassar, Ashok Selvan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Vaiyapuri, among others.

Thug Life is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, Red Giant Movies, R. Mahendran, and Shiva Ananth.

Following the blockbuster Kerala distribution success of Vikram, Gokulam Gopalan is bringing Thug Life to theatres across Kerala under Gokulam Movies, in association with Dream Big Films, the film’s official distribution partner in the state.

As part of the regional promotions, cast and crew members of Thug Life will participate in grand pre-release events in Kochi on May 21 and Thiruvananthapuram on May 28.

Additionally, the film’s audio launch, accompanied by a live performance by A R Rahman and his team, will take place at Sairam College, Chennai, on May 24.

The film sees AR Rahman once again collaborating with Mani Ratnam to compose the music, continuing a legendary partnership.

Editor Sreekar Prasad, another regular collaborator, is back on board. Acclaimed cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, who previously worked with Mani Ratnam on Kannathil Muthamittal and Aayutha Ezhuthu, handles the film’s stunning visuals.

The action choreography is crafted by the celebrated Anbariv Masters, known for their explosive work in Vikram. Ranjith Ambady leads the makeup department, Sharmishta Roy serves as the production designer, Eka Lakhani handles the costume design, ensuring a visually rich cinematic experience and Public Relations (PRO) for the film is managed by Pratheesh Sekhar.
