This case had shaken Kerala and the Malayalam film industry after a well-known woman actor was abducted and sexually assaulted in 2017.

The court held Pulsar Suni and five others (Martin Antony, B. Manikandan, V. P. Vijeesh, H. Saleem and Pradeep) responsible for abducting and assaulting the woman actor and recording the incident. They were convicted on charges of gang rape and conspiracy. Their sentencing will be announced later.
