'‘My Grandson Is Suffering’...': Aarti Ravi’s Mother Hits Back At Ravi Mohan’s Serious Allegations

The ongoing controversy surrounding Tamil actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife Aarti Ravi has taken a fresh turn after Aarti’s mother, producer Sujatha Vijayakumar, strongly responded to allegations made by her son-in-law during a recent press conference.

Ravi Mohan, who announced his separation from Aarti in 2024 after 15 years of marriage, recently addressed the media amid the couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings.

During the interaction, the actor spoke about alleged cyberbullying, harassment, and personal issues surrounding the split. He also accused Aarti of emotionally blackmailing him into marriage by harming herself.

Responding to the allegations, Sujatha Vijayakumar firmly defended her daughter and dismissed Ravi Mohan’s claims as false.

Speaking to the media, she said there was an old interview published in 2008 that tells a very different story about the events leading up to the marriage.

“There was an interview in Vikatan magazine in 2008 that explained this. I am searching for it now. It will reveal who actually got blackmailed and who injured themselves before the marriage,” she reportedly said.

Sujatha also denied Ravi Mohan’s claims that he was being stopped from meeting his sons, Aarav and Ayaan. Calling the allegation “completely false,” she stated that no one had ever prevented him from seeing his children.

“It is not true that Ravi Mohan is not allowed to meet his sons. Nobody can stop that,” she said while addressing reporters.

The producer also reacted to claims related to financial matters between the families.

Ravi Mohan had reportedly stated that he contributed around ₹25,000 every month toward Sujatha’s medical expenses. Rejecting the claim, she said that even if such support had been provided, it would simply be part of his responsibility as a son-in-law.

Sujatha further refused to comment in detail on Ravi Mohan’s controversial remark about a “three-letter idli actress,” which led to speculation on social media linking the statement to actress Khushbu Sundar.

She said she did not want to discuss matters that could become contempt of court and added that she has complete faith in the legal process.

“In Tamil Nadu, people speak up when injustice happens to women. Millions of people have supported Aarti online. I do not want to say anything more about this issue now because the matter is before the court,” she said.

The emotional toll of the controversy on the family was also highlighted by Sujatha during her interaction with the media. She expressed concern for her grandson, who is currently appearing for his Class 10 board examinations and is reportedly struggling emotionally due to the public nature of the dispute.

“My grandson is writing his 10th standard exams and is under a lot of stress because of all this. He has seen things that a child should never have to see at such a young age. That is why I do not want to exaggerate this issue further,” she said.

Ravi Mohan and Aarti Ravi got married in 2009 and were considered one of the well-known couples in the Tamil entertainment industry. However, in 2024, the actor publicly announced their separation, leaving many fans shocked.

Earlier, Aarti had stated that both she and their children were “blindsided” by Ravi Mohan’s announcement.

Meanwhile, Ravi Mohan has also been making headlines over rumours linking him to spiritual healer and singer Keneeshaa Francis.

Recent reports suggested that Keneeshaa hinted at distancing herself from Chennai amid the ongoing controversy, though neither party has officially confirmed the nature of their relationship.
