
Ravi Mohan's Estranged Wife Aarti Seeks Rs 40 Lakh Monthly Alimony
The divorce controversy involving Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife Aarti has gotten an update with the recent court session. After countless accusations and online battles, the couple appeared before the Chennai family court on May 21. While Ravi reiterated his claim of granting a divorce, Aarti Ravi claimed Rs 40 lakh as monthly alimony.
Earlier, Ravi Mohan had filed a petition seeking divorce from his now estranged wife, Aarti. During the first session, the court directed the couple to attend reconciliation sessions. The couple had been attending these sessions as per the instructions.
On May 21, during the court hearing, the actor reiterated that he had already granted a divorce and urged the court to reject Aarti’s plea for cohabitation. Meanwhile, Aarti has filed a petition demanding Rs 40 lakh per month as alimony.

However, the court has advised both parties to reconsider their petitions and has adjourned the case until June 12.
A day before the court appearance, Aarti had posted a two-page-long note blaming a third person for the failure of their marriage. Without naming her directly, Aarti pointed at singer Kenishaa Francis as a reason for the breakup of the marriage.

“The ‘light of your life’ brought only darkness into ours. That’s the truth. This person was already in the picture—long before any divorce papers were filed. This isn’t guesswork. I have proof,” she wrote in her statement.

The divorce controversy hit headlines when actor Ravi Mohan announced his decision to part ways from his wife on social media. In a counter post, Aarti claimed that the decision was made without her consent.
Ravi Mohan, formerly known as Jayam Ravi, is the son of veteran film editor A. Mohan. He is known for his roles in films like Jeyam, Mazhai, Santhosh Subramaniam, Ponniyin Selvan and recently, Kadhalikka Neramillai. Aarti is the daughter of television producer Sujatha Vijayakumar.
Ravi Mohan and Aarti are parents to two sons, Aarav and Ayaan.
