While the divorce controversy involving actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife Aarti Ravi made headlines, in a fresh turn of events, Aarti’s father has filed a complaint against singer Suchitra.

As per reports, Aarti’s father lodged a complaint at the commissioner’s office, accusing Suchitra of making inappropriate and defamatory comments against his daughter in a now viral video.

In his complaint, he alleged that the recent video and social media posts by the singer have sparked unnecessary rumors and caused severe damage to his daughter and the family’s long-standing reputation in the film industry.

He mentioned that the family’s dignity, especially that of his wife and daughter, was unfairly attacked. Claiming the recent action of Suchitra as a serious invasion of privacy, he expressed his concerns over how private matters were dragged into the public eye without consent.

In the aftermath of the divorce controversy, Suchitra, in a now-deleted social media post, made serious allegations, including linking Aarti with a prominent actor. Her statements quickly went viral on the internet and some perceived them as ‘deeply offensive’ and ‘damaging’ to Aarti’s dignity and personal reputation.

The complainant now seeks legal action under several laws including sections 79, 294, and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 66(a) and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

On the other hand, actor Ravi has filed a case against his wife, Aarti Ravi, and his mother-in-law, Sujatha Vijaykumar. In a now-deleted Instagram post, the actor claimed that the two women’s defamatory remarks caused significant damage to his reputation and mental health.

The lawsuit sought damages compensated and immediate action from Aarti and Sujatha to remove all the alleged content from their social media profiles. Ravi has specifically requested that any posts referencing or tagging his name be removed until the dispute is properly settled.

The notice also applies to third-party content providers and meme pages, forcing them to remove any postings, videos, blogs, or pictures about Ravi’s marital troubles. The purpose, according to the suit, is to avoid further misinformation and character assassination.
