Sugar Baby: Kamal Haasan And Trisha's 'Thug Life' Second Single Out
Kamal Haasan and STR’s upcoming gangster film, Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam, is once again making headlines with its second single titled Sugar Baby. While the trailer sparked controversies among netizens regarding the age gap between Haasan and Trisha, the makers seem to have responded to them by dropping the second dance number titled ‘Sugar Baby’ featuring the actress.
Composed by Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman, the energetic track includes Kamal Haasan, Trisha and STR. The lyrics of the song were cowritten by AR Rahman and Siva Ananth.

Combining the beats of melody and rap, the ace music composer offered something different than what the audience expected. It is sung by Alexandra Joy, Shuba, and Sarath Santhosh, with rap portions by Shuba.
While the first single, Jinguchaa, received an impressive response from the audience, this one is expected to create its own storm. However, audiences have diverse opinions about the song.
In a recent promotional event, Trisha shared something interesting about her character in the film. She said that this character was different and challenging for her compared to the others.
Trisha, while describing her character, revealed that it’s completely opposite to her character in Ponniyin Selvan. She shared that Mani Ratnam advised her to unlearn everything that she did during Ponniyin Selvan and to craft everything from scratch.

About the film, Mani Ratnam said that apart from being a gangster story, Thug Life will be an emotional drama twisted between various characters within the world of crime.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film features Kamal Haasan, STR, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Joju George, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Rohit Saraf, among others.
