Keerthy Suresh is under social media scrutiny after announcing wedding plans. The star is receiving hate comments from far-right accounts claiming that the South film industry is “lost”.
Keerthy is getting married to her rumoured boyfriend Antony Thattil, in a destination wedding in Goa on December 11. The pair were friends since they were in 12th grade.
However, it appears that not all are pleased to hear the wedding bells. Hate comments are appearing below the pictures posted by Keerthy on her social media pages.
When one commented that “This is the next love jihad in South India”, another wrote, “Hindu youths are busy eating beef, while Christians and Muslims are taking away Hindu girls”.
Most of the hate comments came below a recently shared picture, which featured the star stand in front of a mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Keerthy’s father, G Suresh Kumar has confirmed the wedding while speaking to media. He said the official announcement will be made on November 25th.
‘Those who went around condemning love jihad across the country didn’t realize what was happening in their own home?’ one person commented. Keerthy’s mother, actress Menaka, had earlier come forward in support of the controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’ during media interactions. This comment appear to reference that incident.
Keerthy and Antony have been in love for almost 15 years, claim media reports. Antony was Keerthy’s senior in high school. Despite being in a relationship for years, the couple stayed away from sharing pictures of them together on social media. Nor have they appeared together in any public functions. However, sources said that Keerthy Suresh will officially announce her wedding plans through a social media post in the near future.
