Nivin Pauly’s Malayalee From India Hits Theatres Today

The long hoped-for movie of Nivin Pauly, Malayalee From India, will hit silver screen today. The Dijo Jose Antony helmed film also features Dhyan Sreenivasan and Anaswara Rajan, making the film all the more interesting. Though film spins off the expectation with its lastly released teaser. While the earlier released songs and teasers made audience believe that it is a comedy movie, the last released teaser made the audience contemplate on what should be expected.

Taking to his X (formerly twitter) account, Anthony highlighted the importance of releasing the film on the Labour Day. Anthony said, the film “is a simple tale of any Malayalee. Our very own Aalparambil Gopy, his journey, his village, his companions, and the intriguing events that unfold in his life…You may either love or dislike the film, as that’s a matter of personal preference. But one thing I can assure you, as a Malayalee, this film will not leave you disappointed”.

 

Malayalee From India narrates a story of a young unemployed Malayalee who is compelled to embark on a transformative odyssey far from his homeland. Gopy embarks on a transformative adventure filled unexpected hurdles and deep questions regarding his own identity and purpose. The film set the floor for a quest for one’s true self.

Apart from Nivin, Anaswara, and Dhyan, the film also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Salim Kumar and Manju Pillai in key roles. It is written by Sharis Mohammed and produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames.
