To Celebrate 25 Years Of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kajol “Stepping Back Into Anjali's Shoes"
As Karan Johar”s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is completing 25 years, the director organised a special screening of the film in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Along with Mr Johan, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji lead actors in the iconic film, graced the screening with their surprise visit. Though actress Kajol who essayed the role of Anjali Sharma in the movie, missed the event, she celebrated the movie in “Anjali way” on the social media.
Dilwale actress, decided to commemorate the film by dressing up as Anjali, her character from 25 years back. In a new reel shared on Instagram, she can be seen as “stepping back into Anjali”s shoes,” by wearing black track suit, in short hair look, accompanied by black cap and track shoes much-like the admired Anjali.

In her post, she wrote: “Stepping back into Anjali’s shoes after 25 years ( couldn’t find the basketball though) So many memories and love attached to this film.. So glad that everyone loves it as much as I do. A first for Karan Johar and a beginning to an amazing journey for Dharma Movies .. Fabulous music that still resonates, even today.. #kkhh is and always will be a labour of love.”
Comment section of Kajol’s post soon flooded with love of her fans, users wrote some beautiful posts citing her role and performance in the movie. One user wrote: “Anjali is always Anjali no one could”ve made me fall in love with that movie if it wasn”t you.” “Super sweet and the same bright and sparkling energy of back then! May your shine shine on forever!,” another user commented.
Aside from Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, the movie also features Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, and Johny Lever in significant roles.
On the work front, Kajol has been seen recently in Netflix India anthology, Lust Stories 2.
