Kajol, one of the most successful Indian actresses who predominantly works in Hindi cinema, on Sunday, took to her Instagram and shared a simple but impressive Navratri look. Blended in reddish maroon and orange, Kajol is seen entirely traditional in her saree and long hair braided to one side (in the first picture). Red bangles and an effortless wedding pendant add the beauty along with a pair of gold jhumkas and nose stud.
“A splash of orange for a day of energy”, she captioned the pictures with a hashtag complimenting first day of Navratri. Navratri is an annual nine-day Indian festival observed in honour of the goddess Durga. The festival spans over nine nights, perhaps the longest in the world, and is celebrated this year from October 15, Sunday, to October 24, Tuesday. The word Navratri means nine nights in Sanskrit and in the eastern and northeastern Indian states, the Durga Puja is synonymous with Navratri.
