Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Salaar: Part-1 Ceasefire has now crossed Rs 500 worldwide and continues to get even stronger. The film took a thunderous start and is now breaking records. The film made Rs 90.7 crore on its opening day in India.
Though the movie has a sudden drop during the weekdays, the long weekends over the Christmas helped to gain momentum once again. As per Sacnilk report, the Salaar’s net domestic collection has reached Rs 297.40 crore.
Taking to Instagram, Prithviraj Sukumaran shared his excitement and wrote, “#SalaarCeaseFire has crossed a massive ₹ 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐒 at the worldwide box office (𝐆𝐁𝐎𝐂)”.

Salaar sold a total of more than 7.67 lakh tickets worth Rs 15.74 crore across 9,521 shows in national multiplex chains on December 27. Of this, the film sold more than 1.16 lakh tickets worth Rs 3.42 crore at PVR cinema halls across the country. Inox and Cinepolis sold more than 1.13 lakh tickets worth Rs 3.09 crore and 41,582 tickets worth Rs 1.17 crore respectively, reports Business Today.
Salaar was released in five different languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The movie is now primarily being consumed in Telugu region and an additional boost is coming from Hindi-speaking region.
Globally, Salaar has crossed Rs 500 crore, according to tracker Manobala Vijayabalan. Previously, Pathan, Jawaan, Leo, Gadar 2 and Animal has all crossed Rs 500 crore worldwide.
The movie was released on December 22, though it clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’, Salaar was able to set the box office on fire. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie also features Shruti Hassan, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy and Bobby Simhaa in pivotal roles.
