Santhanam And Nagarjuna Join Rajinikanth For Jailer 2 (Image-X/sunpictures)
Following the blockbuster success of the action entertainer Jailer, Superstar Rajinikanth has once again teamed up with director Nelson for the sequel, Jailer 2. While the film progresses on its production front, the recent addition to the cast has made the project even more exciting.
Nelson is bringing back the hunter, Muthuvel Pandian, in a high-octane, action-filled world of Jailer 2. With Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan reprising their roles, the film also witnessed the addition of versatile actor SJ Suryah.

Even though more details about the cast are yet to be unveiled, recent reports have revealed that the film will see the actors Nagarjuna and Santhanam joining forces, adding another layer of mystery and entertainment.
According to reports, the Telugu cinema icon has reportedly been signed on to play the main antagonist in the upcoming sequel. Since the prequel surprised the audience with the cameo appearance of legendary actors like Shivaraj Kumar, Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff, the anticipation over the cast of this sequel is understandably sky high.
Nagarjuna’s intense portrayal of Simon in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film Coolie — where he also shared screen space with Rajinikanth — is said to have influenced the casting decision. Though an official confirmation is awaited, the news has already sparked excitement among fans of both stars.

With Santhanam’s comic timing and Nagarjuna’s mass appeal, director Nelson has been crafting his upcoming film with all the necessary ingredients to offer a mass masala entertainer.
Jailer 2 is being produced by Kalanidhi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The shooting is expected to be wrapped up by the end of the year.
