Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' Gains Momentum With New Cast Addition: Shoot Begins In Kerala
Legendary actor superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming sequel, Jailer 2, with director Nelson, is currently making waves on the internet. The film, which began its production on March 10, has now begun its second schedule in Kerala on Friday. And here is the latest update you need to know about the upcoming action entertainer.
After wrapping up the initial phase in Chennai, the team has now moved to Kerala for its second phase of shooting. This schedule is expected to cover the major sequences planned between actors Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan. The team is currently working in the Attapadi region of Kerala.

Pictures of Rajinikanth from the shooting spot of Jailer 2 are doing rounds on social media. A picture shows the actor waving at fans from inside his car as he arrives for shooting as his security tries to hold back fans trying to get close to him.

Jailer and 25 years of Padayappa
Interestingly, this schedule of actors Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan has kickstarted right after Padayappa, the iconic film of the duo, completed its milestone of 26 years on April 10. In the 1999-released action drama, actress Ramya Krishnan portrayed the role of Neelambari as an antagonist. Excited by this coincidence, on her Instagram story she wrote, “26 years of Padayappa and the 1st day shoot of Jailer 2.”
SJ Suriyah joins the cast.
As per the recent reports, adding new energy to the action entertainer sequel, actor SJ Suriyah has joined the cast. This surprise addition to Nelson’s directorial has promised to offer a powerful storyline.
