Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki To Be Screened For UK Government: Report

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki will be shown to the UK government, said report. As per ANI, the British government plans to screen the comedy-drama, as the government considers the topic discussed in film – illegal immigration – as ‘relevant’ in present time, particularly due to the portrayal of perilous Dunki route. It is said that government officials are also eager to watch the movie, since it gained well response in UK. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki revolves around the topic of illegal immigration.

According to PTI, a special screening of the movie was held on December 28th with representatives from different countries like US, UK, France, South Korea, and Australia. Representatives from Belgium, Germany, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, Turkey, and the Netherlands. The statement about the incident read that, “With its compelling story, the film has brought a significant subject to the masses that speaks about the illegal immigrants who take the donkey route to go abroad… Amid its successful run in the theaters, a special screening will be held for the consulates of various nations on 28th December”, as reported by media.

Dunki is based on the illegal and deeply dangerous ways that people take to fulfil their dreams of migrating to another country. In addition to Shah Rukh Khan playing Hardayal Singh Dhillon, aka Hardy, and Taapsee Pannu portraying Manu Randhawa, Vicky Kaushal’s is portrayed as Sukhi and Boman Irani in the role of Geetu Gulati. Dunki was released worldwide on December 21st.
