Sunny Deol”s Gadar 2 continues to rule the theaters, having now become the third highest-grossing Hindi film. According to industry analyst Taran Adarsh, the film now holds the record of crossing ₹450 crore in the shortest time among Hindi films. Pathaan achieved this feat in 18 days, while Gadar 2 managed to do it in 17 days.

According to the reports, the action drama on Saturday collected about Rs 12.5 crore yesterday, taking its grand total to 438.70 crores whereas the KGF2 (Hindi) stands at 435 crores.

Gadar 2 is still behind Pathan (543 crore) and Bahubali 2 (511 crore). The film is expected to reach 500 crores next week.

Gadar 2, an Anil Sharma directorial, was released on August 11. By September 7 it will clash with Shah Rukh Khan”s Jawan.
Despite the tough competition from big releases like Akshay Kumar”s OMG 2 and Rajinikanth”s Jailer, the film has earned a big milestone. This week, Ayushmann Khurrana”s Dream Girl is the new release, and looking at the craze around the comedy-drama, Gadar 2 might see a dip in numbers. Another big competition for Sunny Deol’s film is Shah Rukh Khan”s Jawan, which is set to hit the theatres on September 7, The Wion reports.
Gadar 2 (translates Rebellion 2), subtitled onscreen as “The Katha Continues” is a Hindi-language period action drama. It is directed and produced by Anil Sharma and written by Shaktimaan Talwar. The movie is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem.
Alon with Sunny Deol, it features Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma as major characters.
