'The Ba***ds of Bollywood': What You Need To Know About Aryan Khan's Directorial Debut (Image-Inatagram/___aryan___)

The announcement of the directorial debut of star kid Aryan Khan, son of the Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, is taking the internet by storm. The most awaited entry of Aryan Khan to the Hindi film industry finally comes true through the Netflix show The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Unlike most other title announcements, this one presented by the Jawan actor was quite different and interesting. Instead of introducing the cast, idea, or any other details of the show, the teaser just introduced the directorial take of Aryan Khan.

The hilarious announcement video starts with Shah Rukh delivering a dialogue but getting interrupted by the director, who requests another take. After several attempts, Shah Rukh grows increasingly frustrated and asks, “Tere baap ka raaj hai kya?” To which Aryan Khan is revealed behind the camera, responding with a simple “Yes.” 

Produced by Gauri Khan, under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the series is co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, who also share writing credits with Aryan.

What is the show all about? The official synopsis of the Netflix show reads, “Behind the glamour of Bollywood lies a world just as dramatic as the films themselves—and that is where the Netflix series, The BA***DS of Bollywood, begins. Through Aryan Khan’s distinct lens, this series dives into the glitz, the chaos, the comedy, and the high stakes of an industry built on dreams. From the house of Red Chillies Entertainment, this collaboration with Netflix brings to life a story that is as bold and entertaining as the movies we have come to love. We can’t wait for audiences to experience this with us.”

Sharing the announcement teaser, the Pathaan actor wrote, “Picture toh saalon se baki hai par show toh ab shuru hoga. Witness Aryan Khan’s take on Bollywood… The Ba***ds of Bollywood, coming soon.”

The Netflix show launch event that took place in Mumbai last night also turned out to be a memorable one. During the event, Shah Rukh said that he wanted to thank all the actors who said yes to the show, but he couldn’t name them because Aryan had asked him not to mention anything about the show. So, let’s wait and watch what Aryan Khan is all set to offer.
