Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film has not only struck a chord with audiences in theatres but is now creating buzz for its highly anticipated  OTT release.

Thudarum has become one of the biggest Malayalam hits of the year with its gripping storyline and Mohanlal’s power-packed performance.

Now, fans who missed watching it on the big screen or those who want to relive the experience are eagerly waiting for the film’s digital premiere.

According to a recent report by Malayalam Indian Express, Thudarum is expected to stream on JioCinema (Jio + Hotstar).

While the makers are yet to confirm an official release date, sources suggest that the film will likely premiere in the second week of June 2025, around 30–45 days after its theatrical release.

Given that Thudarum was released in the last week of April, the OTT debut is expected to land between June 10 and June 15. 

Thudarum tells the gripping story of Benz Shanmugham, a humble taxi driver played by Mohanlal, who adores his black Ambassador Mark 1.

However, his life spirals out of control after the police seize his beloved car in a smuggling case. What begins as a personal crisis quickly unfolds into a deeper mystery, filled with unexpected twists and emotional turns.

The film also stars Shobana, Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu among others.

With a runtime that balances suspense, emotion, and realism, Thudarum has been praised for its direction, screenplay, and Mohanlal’s nuanced performance.

The film has officially surpassed the ₹100 crore mark, reportedly raking in an impressive ₹107.5 crore in net collections across India over 21 days, spanning all language versions.
