Tovino's Adrishya Jalakangal World Premiers At Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (image:instagram.com/tovinothomas)
Actor Tovino Thomas shared that his upcoming movie Adrishya Jalakangal (Invisible Windows) will have world premiere at the 27th Tallinn Black Nights International film festival (POFF), Estonia. He added that movie is also selected in the competition category in the festival – the first malayalam movie to receive such recognition – made it more special. Helmed by Bijukumar Damodaran (known as Dr Biju), Adrishya Jalakangal is produced by Ellanar Films, Tovino Thomas Productions and Mythri Movie Makers.
Taking to Instagram, the actor wrote: “Extremely pleased to share this – Dr Biju”s Adrishya Jalakangal ( Invisible Windows) will have its world premiere at the 27th Tallinn Black Nights International film festival (POFF), Estonia taking place from November 3 to 17. What makes it special is that the film is also selected in the competition category, making it the first ever Malayalam film to do so, in this prestigious film festival that is counted among the elite A-list ones worldwide. Really looking forward to walk the black carpet event along with director Dr Biju and producer Radhika Lavu. Congratulating everyone part of this amazing movie for this achievement. In Adrishya Jalakangal, Mr Thomas will share screenspace with Nimisha Sajayan after 2018 movie titled, Our Kuprasidha Payyan.
The movie will portray war as a man-made disaster, and will explore society”s struggles for existence, love, peace, justice, relations, and sanity through its character, press release said.
“‘Adrishya Jalakangal’ has a treatment that will smoothly mix reality with surrealistic notions and visuals. My goal in filmmaking is to create works that are artistically and aesthetically superior, all at a time while asserting our strong social and cultural stands,” Dr Biju said in a statement. He is well known for the critically acclaimed and award-winning movies including Veettilekkulla Vazhi, Akasathinte Niram, Perariyathavar, and Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal among many others.
