Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday shared a snippet from his personal life on YouTube, in which he is seen giving a precious surprise gift to mother Sonia Gandhi.
Sonia Gandhi on seeing what her son took for her all the way from Goa to Delhi, became emotional and is spotted with a heart-touching gesture filled with love and affection.
A little puppy, named Noorie… She travelled from Goa with Rahul Gandhi to get pampered in the sweet cuddle of senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi was in Goa on a private visit and headed back home in Delhi on Wednesday. On the way he adopted a female puppy of Jack Russell Terrier breed, a gift to Sonia Gandhi. Jack Russell Terrier is a British breed of small terrier, who are principally white-bodied, smooth, less fur, and can be any colour. The breed is characterised as clownish, intelligent, energetic, athletic, stubborn, and fearless.
“”Hei sweetheart”, Mr Gandhi took Noorie, kissed her, and made her comfortable inside a gift box outside the house. Sonia Gandhi at first reluctant to come out in front of the camera was later forced by Rahul Gandhi and opened the basket in surprise. On seeing Noorie inside, she immediately grabbed her with a lovely smile. In the succeeding clips she is seen playing with the puppy and kissing on her forehead in an utmost adorable manner.
Mr Gandhi introduced Noorie through his official social media handles sharing a video collaborating snippets from Goa, from where he adopted the puppy, to his home in Delhi. Noorie, the “”newest and the cutest member”” of Gandhi family has already become the light of their lives.
“Unconditional love and uncompromising loyalty – there is so much this beautiful animal can teach us!”, wrote Rahul Gandhi captioning the video. Through the act, Mr Gandhi is also spreading the awareness of World Animal Day, celebrated yearly on October 4. The day is observed annually aligning with the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology and animals.
“We must pledge to protect and share our love with all living beings. #WorldAnimalDay”, Mr Gandhi added.
Sonia Gandhi has another pet dog, Lapo, and Noorie is all set to enjoy her future days in companion with Lapo. Both in the video are seen playing and roaming inside the house merrily.
