Bihar: Fasting Woman Dies After Alleged Beating, Forced To Drink Urine Mixed With Liquor
Madhubani, Bihar: A fasting Muslim woman died after being allegedly beaten and forced to drink urine mixed with liquor in Amhi Panchayat in Ghoghardiha block, in Bihar’s Madhubani district.
The woman died succumbing to injuries after being brutally assaulted and forced to drink urine mixed with liquor by a mob. The incident happened when she approached the village head seeking help to resolve a local dispute on February 28.

The village head, Kumari Devi, her husband Dinesh Singh, and their son Mangnu Singh, have been arrested in connection with the murder case. The woman was allegedly assaulted by the son of the village’s head along with a group of mob, in which she sustained serious injuries, leading to hospitalization and death in Patna Medical College and Hospital on March 1.
The attackers allegedly tied Khatoon to a pole and beat her severely. During the assault, she was also allegedly abused by those involved, reports say, citing local residents.

The victim was fasting when she was being beaten up. When she asked for a glass of water, she was forcefully made to drink alcohol mixed with urine. The family of the woman has demanded capital punishment for the accused. An FIR has been registered at Ghoghardiha police station.
