DK Shivakumar Takes Oath As Karnataka Chief Minister With Constitution In Hand
Bengaluru, Karnataka: Senior Congress leader and former deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar took oath as Karnataka chief minister on Wednesday, June 3. The swearing-in ceremony was held at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru.
Known as a long-time troubleshooter for the Congress in southern India, Shivakumar took oath holding a copy of the constitution in his hand, replacing outgoing chief minister Siddaramaiah . Shivakumar took the oath in the name of spiritual leader Gangadhar Ajja, blending constitutional symbolism with a personal expression of faith during the historic moment.
