Bengaluru, Karnataka: DK Shivakumar is likely to take oath as Karnataka Chief Minister on Wednesday, June 3, becoming the wealthiest chief minister in India. The sixty-four-year old Congress veteran has declared a net worth of over Rs 1,413 crore, surpassing Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu is currently the richest chief minister in the country, with a declared net worth of around Rs 931 crore. DK Shivakumar is replacing current chief minister Siddaramaiah.

According to the 2023 Karnataka Assembly election affidavit filed by DK Shivakumar, has declared combined assets worth around 1,413 crore, which is an increase from Rs 840 crore in 2018. While the movable assets worth Rs 1,140 crore, the immovable properties valued at Rs 273 crore, against liabilities of about Rs 265 crore.
