Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu: An SI, who comes under Cuddalore District Police, has started a free tuition centre in a village in Tamil Nadu, exhibiting his social commitment for uplifting poor and underprivileged.

The SI renovated a house, which was in a dilapidated condition, to a new complex with furniture and other essential amnesties for students to learn and train. A Reddit video shows the police officer converting the house into a free tuition centre and employing a teacher in it for unprivileged kids in the area.

Apart from these amnesties, the SI has also bought books, pens, notes etc for the students who choose to join the free tuition Centre. Users have praised the initiative, expressing their support, stating that it appears to be pure social interest and community wellness initiative without any government or political branding.

The video claims the SI used own money to make his dream of helping kids achieve their dream by acquiring knowledge. With a total of three rooms, along with all essential facilities including fans, electricity, water, chairs, board, among others, the Centre looks fresh and inspiring.

While praising the “selfless, thoughtful and generous” move, several users even expressed their wish to donate for the project. “Anyone that helps towards education is doing a big favor for generations. God bless him with good health and wealth,” a user wrote.

Another user pointed out that it is rare to see these type of activities at a time when everything is performative from political parties.
