In Rajasthan’s Alwar, authorities destroyed the wheat and mustard crops growing fields and demolished several Muslim houses over the allegations of cow slaughtering in Rundh Gidawada village in Mirzapur of Alwar district on Monday.

According to a report, there were high-ranking officers at the site as the crops fields and structures were demolished using tractors and bulldozers. The police have also filed a suo-motu FIR against individuals, accusing many in the village of engaging in the alleged illegal cow slaughtering racket and beef sale.

In addition, four police officers, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, a head constable, and two beat constables were also suspended for not taking action against the alleged cow slaughter in the village.

According to a report, there was an illegal beef market in the area and a local media outlet went to the place faking as a customer. The police followed the media professionals, ending up in the arrest and destruction. Cases have been registered against 22 people under the State’s Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995, invoking sections 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 of the RB Act.

Eight men have also been arrested and they have been identified as Ratti Khan, Sahun, Mausam, Haroon, Jabbar, Aleem, Aslam, Kamil and Saddam. Almost all the men have reportedly fled the village, fearing the police actions.
