After her exam, she reportedly travelled to Uttarakhand with two friends, where she vanished under mysterious circumstances.
Rosmita arrived in Rishikesh on June 6 with two male friends: Hemant Sharma from Haryana, a former classmate, and another friend. They planned a camping trip in Shivpuri, but around evening, her friends reported her missing, according to a Times of India report.
A local resident claimed to have seen a woman drowning near the campsite.
Haridwar Police deployed State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) divers to search the river. The authorities believe that the woman may have been swept away by the current and drowned to death. Police are also probing the case as a possible suicide, although no evidence has been gathered to substantiate the claim.
