According to the Global Leader Approval survey released by Morning Consult, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emerges as the most popular global world leader with a rating of 76%. Switzerland President Alain Berset comes in the second position with 64%.

  • Morning consult is a privately held, global decision intelligence company established in 2014. It carries out surveys and research globally and it is a data firm tracking the approval ratings of the world leaders.
  • The company mainly provides global survey research tools, data services and news to organization in business, marketing, economics and politics.
  • The global leader data is based on a seven-day moving average of all adults in a given country. Surveys are conducted on the basis of age, gender, region and even education in certain countries.
  • Morning Consultant is currently tracking the approval ratings of government leaders in Australia, Belgium, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
  • The approximate sample size of the survey in India was 2,126 with a margin of error of 2.2%, according to its website.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been topping the list since Covid-19 crisis and now he is honoured with the title after the conclusion of G20 Summit.
