President of Bharath Vs President of India : The political battle catches fire
When the official G20 invitation was sent to the guests, President of India signed the invitation as “President of Bharat” instead of the usual “President of India” which kindled political row across the country.
Multiple BJP leaders has come forward in support while many others including Congress leaders, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin pronounced hostility.
Earlier, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “distorting history and dividing India”.
He also reposted a post showing the invitation that is titled to be from “President of Bharath”

“I heard that now they are changing the name of India. The president”s G20 dinner invitation reads President of Bharath. What ia new here ?. We always use Bharath. We say Indian Constitution of Bharath ka Samvidhan. The country is known as India around the globe. What happened that suddenly they had to change the name?. They are changing the history” said Mamata Banerjee as per the report.

He also questioned why does Prime Minister Narendra Modi hates Bhimrao Ambedkar, father of Indian Constitution so much.

He also added that Congress party have strong aversion towards Bharath and the coalition INDIA was intentionally chosen with the” aim of defeating BHARAT”

Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that he is proud and happy of this and “we should come out of colonial mindstate” in a report to ANI.
He also shared the image of the invitation on his X (formerly Twitter).

Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin responded the only transformation the BJP government could bring forward is a name change. He also added that BJP is rattled by the single term “INDIA” and that during the election INDIA will chase BJO out of power.
After Non-BJP forces united to dethrone the fascist BJP regime and aptly named their alliance #INDIA, now the BJP wants to change 'India' for 'Bharat.'
