Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann at a meeting in Ludhiana took a playful dig at Aam Aadmi party MP Raghav Chadha who is all set to wed Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra on September 24, this month.

Politics was kept aside for a moment. Mann chided Chadha by commenting ‘list of responsibilities’ about to expand. The groom to be was warmly congratulated by all the members of the meeting.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present in the meeting. The 10 key initiatives’ taken by the Mann’s government was later shared on the MP’s X handle.

“AAP government in Punjab, under leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, is actively working to create a pro-industry and pro-business environment in the state,” he posted on X.

The initiatives were introduced in order to address the longstanding problems faced by the industrialists and to provide sustainable solutions to it. In addition to the key initiatives, specific announcements for Amritsar and Jalandhar were made in the meeting.

In Amritsar, ₹210 Cr Unity Mall project to showcase Punjab”s manufacturing sector and an investment over ₹80 Cr in infrastructure projects was announced. While in Jalandhar, an infrastructure investment worth Rs 50 crore along with land coverage allowance from 40% to 65% was also announced.

Mr Chadha also discussed about the ongoing political row triggered in the name of comments passed by Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sanatana Dharma. BJP is trying to break apart the opposition alliance INDIA, commented the members.

He condemned his ally”s remark and called it a “small” statement. “Alliance was formed for raising big issues like price rise and unemployment… statement by some small leader, from a district in a state, is not the official stand of the alliance” ,says NDTV.
