Two terrorists were shot dead during a failed infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
The Army launched Operation Kanchi on Sunday night in Nowshera’s Laam region after receiving inputs from intelligence agencies and the Jammu Kashmir police regarding a potential infiltration attempt. An anti-infiltration operation was launched on the night of September 8 and 9 in Laam.

The Army troops kept the area under strict surveillance throughout the night following the gunfight. A search operation was launched soon after and is in progress.
“Two terrorists have been neutralised and a large quantity of war like stores including Two AK-47s and one Pistol thus far recovered. Search operation is in progress,” said White Knight Corps in an X post.

The White Knight Corps is a an Army unit part of the Northern Command, based in Jammu.
