On his social media handle, journalist Piyush Rai shared the video which was published by NDTV.

 

Several users have reacted outrageously to the incident, while many claims they too have witnessed similar practices, even by the party staff.

Vizhpuneet, an X user, said that this is how standards collapse as management turns blind, passengers get sick and nobody is held to account, while expressing shock at serving filth-filled food disguised as service on Express trains.

“Washing used containers in a train sink, then serving food again is filth disguised as service on Express trains. This is how standards collapse as management turns blind, passengers get sick & nobody is held to account. This country deserves real hygiene, not this public health disaster,” he wrote on X.

Few users have claimed that the purported video is from Vande Bharat and its catering staff washing used food trays in a filthy sink, raising serious hygiene concerns. A user, Er.Rajiv, shared the video and demanded immediate action to ensure cleanliness and protect public health.
