In a video released on Monday, sexual harassment accused Prajwal Revanna announced that he is coming back to India and appearing before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the Karnataka government to probe the allegations against him. Dismissing the allegations about him molesting many women and making videos of it as false, he said he would return to Indian On May 31.
The JD(S) MP and the grandson of the former Prime Minister Deve Gowda had left the country a day after the Lok Sabha elections were held in his Hassan constituency. He reportedly left the country after the videos of him sexually abusing multiple women at multiple instances were leaked. Soon, the government registered a criminal case against the JD(S) Hassan candidate.
Since then, the probe agency has been investigating the sexual scandal allegations against the JD(S) leader. A blue colour notice has also been issued to gather information about his whereabouts.
However, Prajwal released the video stating his intention come come back amid reports of the Centre processing the Karnataka government”s request to cancel his diplomatic passport.
