Punjab: Self-styled godman and. pastor Bajinder Singh of ‘Glory and Wisdom’ church from Punjab’s Tajpur village called the sexual harassment allegations against him “false and baseless.” A case was registered against him in a village in Jalandhar district in Punjab on Sunday.
A sexual harassment complaint has been registered against Singh by a 22-year-old woman who claimed that she and her parents had been visiting the church since October 2017. She claimed that Singh began texting her. The woman said that she was afraid of telling her parents about the conversations, as Singh had allegedly threatened to hurt them

Since 2022, the woman alleged that Singh would make her sit alone in a cabin in the church on Sundays and would molest her, according to reports. Singh reportedly pressured her to marry him despite him being already married. The complainant also recounted experiencing years of panic attacks and harassment.
Responding to the allegations, Singh held a press conference and said, “Allegations made against me are false and baseless.” He also called the chats presented by the complainants fake.
Who Is Bajinder Singh?
Born into a Hindu Jat family in Yamunagar in Haryana, Bajinder Singh converted to Christianity while he was serving a prison sentence for a murder case. Reportedly, he moved to Chandigarh in 2015 and lived in Sector 48 before moving to Sector 63.
In 2018, Singh was arrested at the Delhi airport while he was going to board a flight to London for allegedly raping a woman. A resident of Zirakpur, the woman reportedly told the police that she met Singh in 2017 and eventually became a part of his team of volunteers who looked at security at his events.

The woman alleged that Singh had raped her at his house in Sector 63, Chandigarh, and recorded a video of the alleged crime. According to reports, she claimed that Singh had threatened to post the video on social media if she told anyone about it.
In April 2018, she filed a complaint at the Zirakpur station. Inspector Pawan Kumar (SHO) said that the survivor had to pay Rs 3 lakh to Singh and made another person pay an equal amount so he could go abroad.
His church was also raided by the income tax department following allegations of fraud made by devotees who claimed the self-styled godman had taken their money, promising miracles that never came true.
Singh gained popularity after his viral “Yeshu Yeshu” video went viral on social media and a series of memes were made of him. Singh has over 1.1 million followers on Instagram, and over 3.74 million subscribers on YouTube.

With a considerable social media following, Singh has been endorsed by several Bollywood celebrities and politicians. He claims to have ‘healed’ various serious illnesses, including cancer and an HIV infection. He also went viral for claiming to have brough a child back to life.
Following the latest allegations, a case was registered on February 23 against Singh under sections 354 A (sexual harassment). 354 D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
