BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, when reporters asked about his ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, expresses in confidence, “Who will cancel my ticket?”
Former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Chief, who is an accused in the alleged sexual harassment case lodged by women wrestlers, has no qualms about his political future.
While he was attending an event at Uttar Pradesh”s Barabanki, in video, a reporter asks Kaisarganj MP whether he will be getting ticket in the forthcoming elections; to which, he replies confidently in Hindi: “Kaun kaat raha hai uska naam batao?…kaatoge aap? Kaatoge?…(Who will cancel my ticket? Will you do it? Will you?…).”
As the video went viral on social media platforms, and several commented on the arrogance of the BJP MP, Delhi Women”s Commission chief Swati Maliwal sharing the video, and alleges that “big powers” are supporting him and that is why he could dare the people to get his ticket cancelled.

On Saturday, regarding the sexual harassment case, Delhi Police told the court that Mr. Singh has harassed the wrestlers in every chance he got. They said before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Harjeet Singh Jaspal of Rouse Avenue Court that ex-WFI chief “missed no opportunity to harass women wrestlers” HT reports. They also add that there is substantial evidence to frame BJP MP.
Delhi police put forward several incidents before the court to prove that accused was fully aware of the actions. And for that, Special public prosecutor (SPP) Atul Srivastava cited incidents occurred in Kazakhstan, Bellary, Mongolia, and New Delhi, HT reports.
It was on June 15, Delhi Police filed a chargesheet against Mr Singh over several offences under IPC including sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) and 354D (stalking).
