Young Delhi Judge Found Dead At Home; Family Claims Harassment By Wife

New Delhi: A 30-year-old judicial officer,  Aman Sharma, was found dead at his residence in south Delhi, with police suspecting suicide after his body was discovered inside the bathroom of his Green Park home.

The police saw Sharma dead inside bathroom after call from brother-in-law of the deceased. Though Sharma was taken  to a hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The family has alleged that Sharma was facing mental harassment from his wife, mentioning that there was noise and argument inside the house, and he was in one room while his wife was in another. Sharma’s father said his wife was speaking loudly as he was crying.

Family alleged that Sharma and his wife had issues for the past two months. The wife, also a judicial officer, had full control in the house, and everything happens as per her, Sharma’s father said.

Notably, the police said that the initial findings suggest death by suicide, reportedly by hanging. Police said no signs of foul play have emerged so far, though all angles are being examined

Sharma, was serving as Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in North-East Delhi at Karkardooma Court. His posting has been confirmed by the Karkardooma Bar Association. Sharma joined the Delhi Judicial Service on June 19, 2021 after graduating in law from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and has dealt with a number of criminal and civil matters while holding jurisdiction as Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) First class and as a Civil Judge.

Since October 2025, he was serving as the secretary of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of North East District at Karkardooma Courts
