Bank of Baroda To Hire 2,500 LBOs; No Posts for Hindi Belt States
The Bank of Baroda has invited applications for the recruitment of 2500 posts of Local Bank Officers (LBO) on Regular posts. Interested candidates can apply till July 27, 2025 going through the official website – bankofbaroda.in. The recruitment notice carries information on the state-wise distribution of vacancies.
Notably, a candidate can apply for one state only, and no more than one application should be submitted by any candidate. The state-wise job distribution has raised concern among the candidates, as no vacancy is mentioned for the Hindi-speaking belt candidates. Hindi is mentioned only for the 10 seats for the Jammu & Kashmir posts. The Local Languages of the State are a must for recruitment for the respective state-level posts.

To apply for the Local Bank Officer posts, a candidate must be between 21 to 30 years of age and must be fluent in the local language of the state, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
A candidate must have a graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute or a professional qualification in CA, Cost Accountant, Engineering, or Medical.
Also, a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank as listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI is required. Experience in NBFCs, Cooperative Banks, Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, or fintechs will not be considered.
Recently, on June 24, 2025, SBI officially released the SBI PO 2025 recruitment notification, inviting applications for 541 Probationary Officers (PO) vacancies, including both regular and backlog positions. The deadline to apply online is July 7, 2025.
