BPSC Invites Application To Fill 1,051 Agriculture Department Posts

Bihar Public Service Commission has invited applications to fill 1051 posts under the Department of Agriculture. The last date of application is January 28, 2024.

A written exam and interview will be used to choose the candidates. Questions from General Hindi, General Knowledge, and Agriculture- subjects are included in the written test. There will be 2.5 times as many applicants called for the interview round as there are openings. The weightage of written and interview will be 75% and 25%.

Candidates will have to secure minimum percentage of 40% (UR), 36.5% (OBC), 32% (SC/ST/Female) to qualify the written examination

Educational Qualification

Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer/Deputy Project Director – Shall be degree of bachelor in Agriculture Science (B.Sc. Ag.) from any recognized Agriculture University/ Institute/Central University (Agriculture Faculty.)

Assistant Director (Plant Protection) – Applicant holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elective Plant Protection from an accredited Agricultural University/Institute/Central University.

Assistant Director (Agriculture Engineering) – Applicant holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering degree from an accredited Agricultural University, Institute, or Central University.

Block Agriculture Officer (BAO) – B.Sc. Agriculture in Agricultural Science from an accredited university or institute.

Other qualification

Age Limit: Minimum age 21 years to 37 years of maximum age (relaxation for female and other reserved categories)
