The Karnataka government has announced a one-time extension of three years in the upper age limit for candidates registering for the direct recruitment to state civil services. The Department of Personnel and Administration Reforms (DRAR) issued the official order.

According to the government sources, the decision follows multiple representations from the public to Chief Minister Siddaramiah, requesting a relaxation in the maximum age criteria.

The revised age relaxation will apply to all notifications for direct recruitment issued after this order and will remain effective until December 31, 2025.
