Kerala MVD Issues Notice Against Rash Driving By E-Commerce Delivery Boys
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Kerala motor vehicles department (MVD) has issued notices to leading quick-commerce firms such as Blinkit, Swiggy, Zepto and BigBasket, noting the spike in traffic violations by couriers. There has been a purported rise in traffic violations due to rash and negligent driving by two-wheeler couriers recently.
The notice issued by Transport Commissioner C.H. Nagaraju, has given 15 days to streamline and align policies regarding road safety. The notice warned that failure to take action on the given notice will be handled by the enforcement agencies.
Officials allegedly reported repeated instances of rash and negligent driving by delivery personnel, forcing the authorities to take action.
