Actress Raveena Tandon Attacked After Being Accused Of Rash Driving By Her Driver
Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and her driver were allegedly assaulted by a mob after the actor’s car reportedly hit three women due to rash driving. As the women suffered injuries, the crowd gathered at the spot turned angry, leading to the altercation, as per reports. The incident happened on Carter Road in Bandra, Mumbai.
The injured family alleged that the actress got out of the vehicle and hit the ladies during the argument, The Hindu reported.
However, the police has reportedly clarified that the reports of injury are rubbish, and there have been no complaints registered in the incident.
Raveena Tandon’s driver was taking a reverse to park the car and the other party, who were passing by then started shouting saying “They are running over us.” Nothing has happened. The car has not even brushed against any of them. They started fighting and Raveena Tandon also came out and started fighting them,” the Economic Times reported citing a police officer.
There were reports that the actor was pushed and hit by the mob, and a video surfaced online from the field showed the actor saying “Please do not hit me,”
In a video, posted by Mohsin Shaikh, a relative of the victim said that when they were near the house of the actress, the driver hit his mother. When they questioned the driver, he came out and beat the victim. He also alleged that the actress was drunk and stepped out of the vehicle and started hitting them. The Mumbai-based Free Press Journal reported that the actress was in a drunken state and assaulted the victim.
