Nita Mukesh Ambani is a well-known philanthropist and businesswoman. Founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Ms Ambani is an admirer of India”s culture and tradition, and ardently advocate it through her sartorial choices.

An exquisite Kanjivaram Saree worn by Ms Ambani at the opening night of Jio World Plaza on Tuesday has wowed the viewers. For the celebratory occasion, Ms Ambani chose the saree made by Swadesh brand, Reliance Retail”s artisan-only store.

Six yards of elegance, traditionally known as the ‘Kanchi Pattu,” is curated by the master artisan Somadas. It is woven in the korvai style, and intricately handcrafted in pure silk zari. She accentuated the attire with heavy emerald jewellery set.

Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre wrote on social media: “The Kanjivaram weave is one of the many regional art forms supported by Reliance Foundation’s SWADESH, our humble ode to India”s age-old arts and crafts.”

Ms Ambani with Reliance Foundation has always supported the contribution of traditional Indian artists and artisan, and gave platform to represent their talent, as well as to take their work to a larger audience.

Jio World Plaza (JWP), Reliance Industry”s Luxury mall, opened to public on Wednesday. The shopping center features an array of luxury brands including Balenciaga, Rimowa, Pottery Barn Kids, the Giorgio Armani Cafe, and Samsung Experience Centre.

Besides, shopping destination also features renowned designers such as Manish Malhotra, Ri By Ritu Kumar, Rahul Mishra, and Falguni and Shane Peacock among many others.
