'Whatever My Sons Can Do, My Daughter Can Do That As Well': Nita Ambani

On Friday, the Reliance share holders has approved the appointment of Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani to the board. On Sunday, Nita Ambani has hailed her three children for being the non-executive directors of Reliance board.

While talking to PTI, she said, “as I have always said, I am very proud of all my three children. Whatever my sons Akash and Anant can do, my daughter Isha can do that as well.

The Business empire of Mukesh Ambani sprawls over retail, oil, new energy and telecom. The multi billionaire of India has earlier said that his children will have significant roles to play in his business and that the company is “in the process of effecting momentous leadership transition”. Mr. Ambani was re-appointed as the chairman of the company in July for another five years.

His son Anant Ambani is the chairperson of the Reliance business conglomerate’s  telecom arm, Reliance Jio Limited. Mr. Ambani was the member of the team that brokered a $5.7 billion investment in 2020 by the Meta Platform in Jio Platform.

Isha Ambani, twin sister of Akash Ambani is taking the retail arm of Reliance into different categories and geographies and is the director of Reliance Retail Ventures.

The youngest son in the Ambani family Anant Ambani is the director of the Reliance business conglomerate’s new energy arm. He was also appointed at the retail unit, Jio platforms and its energy, oil and chemical units.
