BJP Official Insta Page Shares Content Targeting Muslim Community, Netizens Reacts

PM Modi led-Bharatiya Janata Party shared a video targeting the Muslim community and the Congress party on their official Instagram page on Tuesday. Netizens criticized the saffron party for spreading hate through social media platforms. The video has been removed from the official page. 

Reacting to the post, Swati Chaturvedi journalist called the video an “unadulterated poison and venom” against the Muslims. “Also lies about the Cong. Modi features prominently. The Vishwaguru mask is off. Normally the EC would send people to jail for it. Now? (Not sharing bcs I don’t want to share communal filth),” she wrote on X. 

Rana Ayyub, journalist wrote, “At no point since he became the Prime Minister did Narendra Modi promise that his policies had changed since the 2002 anti muslim carnage. He is doing today what he did yesterday, you wanted to move on, he never did”.


Fact checker Muhammed Zubair too has shared the video on the X and heavily criticized the BJP for sharing videos targeting the Muslim community. “This disgusting Video targeting Muslim Community and Congress party is shared by the official Instagram channel of @BJP4India. I know there is no point in tagging @rajivkumarec @SpokespersonECI @ECISVEEP and appealing them to take action. But sharing it here for the records.”

In the controversial video, captioned, #AbkiBaar400Paar, the saffron party alleges that if the Congress party comes into power, they will snatch all the wealth of the non-Muslims and will then distribute it to the Muslim community. 

In the animated video, the saffron party claims that the Congress party manifesto is nothing but Muslim Leagues’ ideology in disguise. The BJP gave out a narrative claiming that every individual in India was rich until the invaders came into the fray. The invaders were portrayed as Muslims in the video. 

The video concluded by urging the Indian citizens to vote for BJP. “Narendra Modi knows about the evil plan and only he has the strength to stop it”. 

Criticism flooded comment section of the purported video. “No Congress has never said this pls read and watch Dr. Singh has said in the previous election of 2004. Why to misguide people?,”one of the user wrote. 

“When WhatsApp university facts are gone to official government narrative, you know we are bound to be doomed,” another wrote.
