Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Urges Women Voters Not To Serve Dinner For Their Husbands If They Chant 'Modi'

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked women voters not to serve dinner if their husbands are chanting Prime Minister Modi’s name. While asking women to vote for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the Delhi CM said it was their “responsibility” to encourage men in their families to support AAP and not BJP.

He said, “many men are chanting PM Modi”s name, only you can set it right. If your husband says he”ll vote for PM Modi, tell him you won”t serve him dinner”. He said the wives should make their husband swear upon her not to vote for Narendra Modi. He said, “if a wife makes him swear on her, he is bound to follow her”.

Highlighting the Delhi government’s move to give Rs 1000 to all women in Delhi above the age of 18, under the “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana”, Kejriwal asked what had BJP done for them, for them to vote for BJP.

He said, “they (BJP) say Kejriwal is wasting the money by giving ₹ 1,000 to every women in the city. I ask them when you waived off big loans of a lot of people, weren”t they spoilt?”.

The Delhi CM further added that “fraud” was being done by the BJP in the name of empowering women. He said BJP only praise women in their party and claim that women are empowered. Kejriwal said he is now putting thousand rupees in every woman’s purse as an “empty purse does not do empowerment”.
